Have you noticed how your memory has had increased lapses lately. Yeah, me too. It’s rather entertaining when I find myself standing at a destination in the house or yard, not knowing why I’m there. It’s impressive how my body knows where to go, even though my mind is completely blank. I attribute this lapse to a serious case of E.D. You know . . . Easily Distracted Syndrome.
One of the aids I use to deal with this malady is memory bands. For instance, I have a band hanging on a hose bib. When I turn the water on, I put that band on my wrist as a reminder to turn the water off. This trick has saved a lot of water.
LaVille and I use a band to remember to take our pills. When we go to bed, I give her a band to wear. This reminds her to take her pills in the morning and once done, she gives the band to me so I can take my pills. The band ends up on my bedside table. At night, I see the band, take my pills, and give it to LaVille to take her pills.
